The Challenge: Improve upon Intuit's public-facing learning platform, Intuit Academy, by addressing the need for a highly scalable, engaging, and modern curriculum to train thousands of aspiring tax professionals through its core Tax Preparation Courses (Tax Levels 1–3 and Tax Preparation).
The Goal: Transform complex IRS regulations into interactive, asynchronous digital learning experiences that could take absolute beginners and successfully pipeline them into seasonal roles as Tax Experts.

Because Tax Levels 1-3 required a massive volume of content across dozens of modules, building everything from scratch was impossible.
The Architecture: I engineered a robust library of custom, master-level Articulate Storyline Course and Exam Templates. These templates featured standardized layouts, accessible UI components, and pre-built interactive logic. This framework dramatically decreased development time across the team and ensured absolute visual and functional consistency.
Lifecycle Support: Beyond initial builds, I managed regular updates, fixes, and performance enhancements across courses delivered in multiple learning modalities, ensuring the ecosystem stayed current with changing tax laws using the Docebo LMS.
The hallmark of the program was the shift from "passive observation" to "active application." I developed high-fidelity simulations of tax software environments.
Advanced Interactivity: Using JavaScript within Storyline, I built custom triggers to handle complex scoring, progression, and state management mechanics.
Rigorous Assessment: These simulations were deployed as Graded Quizzes & Exam Templates, where the system evaluated data entry accuracy across multiple fields to prove a learner's readiness for real-world tax preparation.
Gamification Mechanics: I integrated gamification features such as a custom point system, digital badges, and progress bars to increase learner engagement through inherently dense financial material.
To provide a "human" element to asynchronous learning without the bottleneck of traditional video production, I worked in an AI-integrated workflow.
The Development: I generated expert "Tax Guide" videos using Synthesia and used Camtasia to precisely edit the footage—adding dynamic zoom-ins, callouts, and graphical overlays to emphasize key tax data points. I then seamlessly embedded these polished video assets directly into Articulate Storyline modules and 7taps microlearning lessons.
The Interaction: The avatars acted as real-time, on-screen mentors, reacting to learner choices and guiding them through complex decision-making within the Storyline interface.
To keep pace with accelerated project timelines, I integrated GenAI directly into my daily production workflow.
The Execution: I leveraged GenAI tools to accelerate end-to-end development—supporting storyboard creation, generating rigorous exam questions, architecting complex tax scenario examples, and writing precise narration scripts for Synthesia video avatars to drastically shorten the time from initial concept to final course delivery.
An enterprise-level launch requires tight technical alignment. I partnered with a diverse network of stakeholders to bring these learning programs to life.
SMEs & Product Design: Collaborated daily with Subject Matter Experts to ensure absolute tax code accuracy, and partnered with Product Design teams to align user experiences with Intuit's brand standards.
DoceboOps Team: Worked closely with the Operations team to seamlessly publish, rigorously test, and launch complex learning plans and training content within the Docebo LMS.
Agile Project Tracking: Maintained daily development velocity by managing Jira tickets, ensuring clear transparency on progress, blockers, and project status across the entire product lifecycle.
